Native Yam Bloody Mary

Native Yam Bloody Mary

60ml Native Yam Vodka, 15ml fresh lemon juice, 120ml tomato juice, a shake of Worchester sauce and tabasco to taste. Serve in a highball glass over ice, garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Harvesting

As the rainy season sets in, the green tree frog starts singing. Shellfish and native plums are ready, and the distinctive bell shape flower of the Native Yam Vine appears. Its tells us that the yams are ready and lead us straight to them. It’s the perfect time to dig them out, as the ground is softer from the rain.

Wild harvested and dug out by hand, these yams come in two different types. Roasted by the Larrakia, used in distilling by the team at Seven Seasons.
